    Corelli's Mandolin

Love is a temporary madness, it erupts and then subsides.
When it subsides, you have to make a decision.
You have to work out whether your roots have grown so intertwined that it is inconceivable that you should ever part.
Love is not breathless, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion...
That is being "in love," which any fool can do.
Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away.
Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the blossoms had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree, not two.

    A while

It's been a while since I last blogged.
I keep telling myself that blogging is worthwhile because in a few year's time I'll look back and read about things I've long forgotten and remember them.
But for some reason I feel like there's nothing really going on that my future self would want to know about.

I've realized that my interest in reading stays at the young adult level fiction/fantasy.
This makes me get little urges to work on my novel, but that passes quickly.

They say that you should enjoy every moment of your life, and make it worthwhile.
But I find that I'm almost always looking forward to something. Something else.
I spend most of my days waiting for the weekend, but when the weekend comes, I wait for the week to start again.

Just like I always wanted to be older, older, not a teenager.
And then now, at 20, I feel depressed and want to be younger.

This is not a grass-is-greener-on-the-other-side thing.
    This is a stand-in-the-middle-and-realize-that-both-sides-have-crappy-grass thing.

    Bellingham + Queensborough

Saturday October 29th, went to the states with my sister for shopping.
Bought 2 pairs of sketchers (god I looooove them), a black & pink dress (it's quite cute), a black & pink plaid jacket, some panties, and a few shirts.
(Spent $250 for the trip, including my half of car gas).

Monday October 1st, went to Queensborough Landing with Nina (and my sister but she just drove us, left, and picked us up).
Bought a black dress shirt (completely unformal due to silver stitching of an eagle all across the back) at Esprit.
Also, 3 short skirts from Garage (black, white, brown plaid).
And a pair of earrings from Guess (silver hoops with pink gems dangling inside).
    (Spent $50 ~ $60 in total).

Put away $500 a month for savings?
    Yeah, right.
