2/26/2006 Good griefI had a dream that my space suddenly stopped lagging... I could add, delete pictures, type, do everything, and the speed was normal. Yah. That's how sad this is. 2/21/2006 My Space sucksI am coming here less and less because there is a major lag on my page..

The guy died, after all.... We don't expect funerals to be romantic, do we? Anyhow, this was not my day.
First, my first class, Computer Science, was a panic and it left everyone in utter confusion half the time.. professor was going full speed like her life depended on it, and half way, I just gave up, and shopped Old Navy online.. Then, I have a two hour gap of nothingness where I tried to go to the library for some research, but found NOTHING on my topic.. so I wasted the whole time sitting in the cafeteria watching the clock... Went in for my UNIV midterm, and someone took my usual seat, so I had to sit next to this jackass who spread his textbook open, then his binder open beside it, and took up 3 quarters of the desk... then for the test itself, the only things that I didn't bother memorizing, which is like, 2 sentences out of the entire book, made up entire short questions... After that, I went to Best Buy, and wanted a simple RCA cable.. they transferred me around 4 or 5 people, each asking me the same questions, making the same mistakes as the person before them, and then passing me on to a different person.. I was cross-tracking across the entire store for 45 minutes until I finally got it, went to the cash, then the person screws up the price, so I just told her "Look, I'll come back for these another day", and walked out. YAH RIGHT I'M GONNA GO BACK TO THEM. But to be honest, all those electronic stores have customer service that's nice and polite, maybe we need to work on speed now? Actual efficiency? Not the worst day at all, these were all minor things..
Far made them better =) We went studying at the Ironwood library, where he helped me find stuff on my research topic. Even there, there were only two books. Must try the Brighouse branch. 2/11/2006 You make me wanna LA LA? Now that it's been a while and most people are done complaining, I will add my bit. Not sure what "La la" means, but I think Ashlee Simpson means "fuck", except if those were the lyrics, they wouldn't be able to play it on The Beat 94.5, and that is her primary source of conspiracy.
And as we all know, she wants to be a french maid, and "likes it better when it hurts"... true, we all have our fetishes, but do the grade 8 kids really need to know so much about their idols? Far said to me today "she looks a lot better than her sister", and I hit him.
Then I realized he's right. Oh well.

I won't even be awake that long. 2/9/2006 Crap marksOkay, so I had a midterm, a quiz, an essay and a project due today..
Argh, great day. Anyhow, I think I passed the quiz, failed the midterm, passed the essay and did good on the project... Despite the shitness of my day, the worst thing that happened to me was getting my English paper back. I got a C on the first English paper I handed in during my College life. Great. English major. Failing the Anthropology 30% midterm didn't feel as crappy as getting a C on a 10% English paper.
Fcuk. Now I'm all woogly about my English... And I got the paper back AFTER I finished writing the in-class essay today, worth 15%... so I hope I do better on this one. If not I gotta re-think what went wrong with me and English between high-school and college. "It's just a paper. Maybe opposing professor. Everything instructor likes different things." Yah, well if I fail my first English course, it's not gonna be the professor that's screwed.
2/6/2006 BummerI just realized yesterday that I didn't know how to spell February.
I've always typed "Febuary"... English major... ( sigh ) long way to go... The funny part was once I was working on my story, and I made Kari say "Hey, Darren?" and I typing his reply before I remembered she can't talk!
Mua hahahahahaa......
........ so sad. There's been 4 weeks of college so far.
Had a little discussion with Nina yesterday about our upcoming midterms next week. We're supposed to have read about half the textbook by now. She said "I'm so behind on my readings."
I said "I've read the Introduction Paragraph of Chapter One so far." She says "........heh, good luck." I said "I looked over the terms that we're supposed to know by now, and I know 3 out of 50." She says "Yah, it's all about keeping up with the reading. The professors just touch on it lightly or just mention it in class. It's up to us to read the textbooks." I said "Or, we don't read, and the professors just DON'T mention it in class. How about that? That sounds familiar..."
College life.... ahh.... wonderful.
2/5/2006 EEEEEEEEEEEEEWhy is my blog so slow?
It takes forever to load... maybe I have too many entries on it, and my blog is tired.. =\ I've looked at my hammie again, either due to the weak light or to my lack of a detailed inspection, I think the whiteness in his left eye has gone away now. Well, compared to his right eye, anyway, so maybe his right eye is screwed up now too, so I can't tell. I made chili, which is amazing. I don't know how to cook anything non-chinese, and here I am, announcing that I've made chili. I'm not sure if I can call it chili, though. At least my mom says she likes it. Besides, it's my first attempt, with no insructions or recipe. Its like, on I feel like putting carrots and celery in, so down it goes...
Ofcourse, there is bell peppers and normal stuff like tomatos and beef. I just kept adding ketchup until it tasted edible. Ah, Heinz, my saviour.
Here is a funny chinese joke.
Q: "What is the most effective thing in birth control pills?" A: "Kang4 sheng1 su4" ( 抗生素 ) It's like... "that's not possib.... oh! .... hahahahaa" Supposedly it was easier for me because i don't know what kang4 shen1 su4 's real job is in the first place anyway. All the better.
2/2/2006 My HammieMy Hammie is about a year old now..
not sure how old he was when I bought him.. My teddy bear hammie, I've had him for 7 or 8 months now.. His right eye has gone foggy.. My mom says it's something that happens to old poeple.. Your body stops working properly, and white stuff forms a layer over your eyes.. Poor hammie.. =( I hope he doesn't die.. I've had him for so long, compared to the other two... one for 4 weeks, one for 2 weeks... I like him...
if he dies, I'm gonna get another one that looks exactly like him... He's black with a white stripe on his tummy.. No dwarf hamster could be cuter... I love hammie... I hope his eye isn't making him sad... hammie, please don't die... if he's suffering, then I guess I'd rather him die. But... I like him =( |
